UFCW International President Joe Hansen yesterday announced the UFCW’s endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama for President because “we believe that Senator Obama is the best candidate to build a movement to unite our country that will deliver the type of change that is needed - for good jobs, affordable health care, retirement security and worker safety.”

Union scholarship applications are now available! Local 21 is offering up to ten ,000 scholarships for full-time students and up to four 0 scholarships for part-time students. The UFCW International Union also offers ,000 scholarships. All current members or dependents of current members are eligible to apply.
