Local 21 members at different workplaces have different benefit plans. The health plan you have depends on your contract.
Local 21 members at Safeway, Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Bartell, Rite Aid, and many other stores receive benefits through the Sound Health & Wellness Trust (formerly the Retail Clerks Welfare Trust), which is jointly trusteed by representatives of the union and representatives of employers. Local 21 members at Harrison Memorial Hospital and several other health care facilities are also covered by the Retail Clerks plan. For more information on your benefits, visit soundhealthwellness.com.
Please note: those union members who were formerly covered by the Retail Drug Employees Welfare Trust are now part of the Sound Health & Wellness Plan.
For questions or concerns regarding the Sound Health & Wellness plan, you can visit their website, or call the Local 21 Benefits Department for assistance
For all information and questions related to a different benefit plan (such as an employer-adminstered plan), please contact your employer. Of course, if you believe your employer is not correctly applying provisions of the benefits section of your contract, contact your Union Representative.
