New Grocery Contract Approved by 92%
After over five months of negotiations, grocery workers in King, Snohomish, Kitsap and North Mason Counties have overwhelmingly ratified the 2007 grocery contract by 92%. The new contract includes wage increases each year, makes substantial improvements to medical benefits, secures our pension plan, and makes progress on family-friendly scheduling and sick leave. Grocery Contract Voting will take place on Sunday, August 26th in Seattle, Lynnwood, Sea-Tac, and Bellevue, and on Tuesday, August 28th in Silverdale. You can show up and vote at any time during the periods the polling stations are open. Read on for details
