Tech Workers Vote 91% to Approve Contract

A hard fought contract campaign concluded on June 20th with a vote of 91% to approve a new contract with higher wages, a secured health care plan and other improvements.

This contract campaign was a joint effort. We all took action together – including an earlier vote that overwhelmingly rejected management’s prior offer and enabled our union member Bargaining Team to get back to the table and win this improved offer. Support also came from hundreds of other UFCW 21 members both at Sacred Heart and Providence Everett as well as community partners outside the hospital.

Union Bargaining Team:

Jennifer Antras, Pharm Tech; Joan Baechler, CV Rad Tech; Tim Barker, Interventional Rad Tech; Bill Berry, Ultrasound Tech; Sherry Cornett, Rad Tech; Carol Cropper, Surg Tech; Carole Dillon, Resp Therapist; Ginny Hein, MH Counselor; Jane Jungwirth, Triage Counselor; Tim Norwick, Pharm Tech; David Sanford, CV Tech; DeeAnna Swift, Surg Tech; Laurie Trudeau, Resp Therapist; Sam Zabala, Resp Therapist; David Fleishman, Lead Negotiator; Patrick Silvernale, Negotiator; Bob Barker, Union Representative.

If you have any questions call your union Representative Jackie Holbrook at 509-340-7369.
