Agreement reached in Southern California grocery negotiations!
July 18, 2007: The Los Angeles Time reports today that union grocery workers in Southern California have reached agreement for a new contract covering 65,000 workers. Details of the agreement have not been released, but the LA Times described the settlement as a “win” for workers and reports that it includes raises, improves eligibility for health benefits, and makes other improvements.
